My sculpture is inspired by pattern and structure in nature focusing on silhouettes, shadows and movement of leaf, branch, light and flame and explores repetition, balance and symmetry.
My background in graphic design influences my exploration of form, pattern and line. Drawings and photographs are the starting point from which I develop organic, abstract and figurative forms. The final artwork is digitally cut into stainless steel, aluminium, copper, reclaimed steel and plywood, transforming the drawn line into a tangible object. I make wall sculptures and free standing pieces for interior and exterior spaces.
